Hello Sunset Dunes Lot Owners
Firstly, a big thank you to all of you that have made your payment of the 2023 Annual HOA Fees. Invoices went out at the end of January and we received payments from all but just one lot owner. We very much appreciate your response!!
In other community news, as previously indicated, we are lining up a paving program for a section of Campbells Way this summer. Curran & Briggs are planning to be here later in June to repave a section in the area of Lots 40/41/42 and do patching in other areas requiring repairs. A strategy of annually repaving priority sections of Campbells Way over the next several years is anticipated. For lot owners who have plans for driveway paving in 2023, you should contact Curran & Briggs as soon as possible if you wish to piggyback on the Campbells Way activity.
With warmer weather starting to arrive, the beach access stairs will shortly be put down at the end of the walkway in the area of Lots 18&19. In addition, Lila’s Boardwalk is open and the boardwalk committee (comprised of Maurice Roy, Jim Glennie, Tammy Rayner, and Wade Silliker) continues to make good progress on plans to begin revitalizing that beach access later in 2023. Construction quotes are currently being obtained for various future options for that beach access. Thank you to all of the Lila’s committee members for their valuable work on this project!
In case you were curious, we are waiting for Maritime Electric to remove the black light poles that are no longer functioning now that we have new light fixtures on top of the utility poles.
Also, we received an email recently from a lot owner who found vehicle tracks across much of their lot on a recent visit to Sunset Dunes. A reminder that even though a lot appears to be vacant, it is the private property of a member of the Sunset Dunes community and should be respected as such.
Finally, Saturday, August 12 (2:30 PM to 4:30 PM Atlantic Standard Time) has been selected for the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Sunset Dunes PEI Homeowners Association. The meeting is planned as a Zoom meeting again this year. More information about the AGM will be set out in the upcoming months, but for now please make note of the date and time so we can have as large of an attendance as possible.
