Greetings Sunset Dunes HOA Lot Owners
Please be advised that on Nov 30. 2023 CGW Property Services removed the rotten wooden boardwalk along Lila’s Beachwalk from the trail entrance to the wetland buffer zone section and installed the first layer of Class A gravel.
Due to the significant rain of late the gravel and dirt subsurface along this section of trail is still quite moist and will remain soft to walk on in areas (when not frozen) until such times as warmer sunnier weather allows the gravel to dry out sufficiently to enable our Contractor to get in with a heavy equipment roller, followed by the application of a two-inch thick layer of 1/4 inch minus gravel to provide a smoother surface along the entrance to wetland section of trail. Given the recent spell of cooler/wetter weather, the conditions necessary to complete this work may need to be deferred until the spring of 2024.
The Board would like to thank Chris Cutcliffe (on behalf of the HOA members) for his contribution to this project by volunteering his time and equipment in trimming back the vegetation along the trail (to enable the contractor to get his equipment in) as well as allowing for the storage of gravel and heavy equipment on his property both of which will have saved the HOA quite a bit of money towards this project.
