Removal of the old rotten wooden boardwalk between the roadside and wetland buffer zone is scheduled to begin on Tuesday or Wednesday (Nov 28/29) of this week weather permitting, followed by the installation of Class A gravel.
Once the class A gravel has been laid down, a heavy equipment roller will be used to compact the surface later in the week or early next week.
An additional two-inch thick layer of 1/4 gravel is scheduled for installation in 10 to 14 days after that, weather permitting.
During various times of construction, the trail will be closed (e.g. when heavy equipment is in use or construction material is awaiting removal or installation)
Chris Cutcliffe has kindly offered to provide temporary storage of gravel on his property across from Lila’s Beachwalk.
